I believe in true ME / real ME but I don't think CFS is fake nor do I think it is psychosomatic. I think the confusion harms those with ME.
I've been meaning to start a thread about the history of psychogenic attribution but looks like @chrisb beat me to it.
Here are a few links I...
It says 59.6% of members thought alternative medicine was helpful. I'm worried that if people read that they will conclude that ME is psychosomatic.
The UK population is currently 66,650,000. 0.76% of that is 506,540. There's no way that many people have genuine ME, chronic fatigue may be but...
Over the counter pain meds don't work on my ME pain. I use to take Gabapentin but it doesn't prevent payback, and often makes me exert myself....

I'd like to see research exclusively using genuine ME patients (those who have an adverse reaction to exercise and exertion). Outcome measures for...
Near the beginning she says exercise improves immune function in non ME patients, do we all agree on this? Is there any evidence for it?
Looks like they're using the Oxford criteria. Not impressed. No mention of harm from exercise.
I never got an initial infection, I had a very gradual onset. Does anyone have reliable stats on this? How many ME patients have gradual onsets?
I tried LDN back in 2015 and it didn't do anything for me.
@18:00 He conflates ME with neurasthenia, without explaining that it would be a misdiagnosis. He should have clarified on that.
I wouldn't say complete trash but the problem I have with it is this part:
There's no mention of long term harm or damage which I believe is a...
Difference between fatigue and PEM.
Hardly honest when they use diagnosis as code for crazy.
Could you elaborate on that, what's the difference?
Definitely agree, I think researchers and the medical profession could learn a lot from this.
