ME Awareness day / week / month and #MillionsMissing May 2020

I just saw this version of Truth Hurts (song by Lizzo), with lyrics rewritten for ME, and I think it's pretty great: https://twitter.com/HIAWest71/status/1260136245344243713

MEA: Real People. Real Illness. ME Awareness Month 2020.

I found this video from the ME Association with the same title - is it the video you're looking for? (I watched only the first 30 second or so) EDIT: I just watched a bit more of that video and noticed that the audio is very much out of synch with the video. Oops! So one guess is that...

The biology of coronavirus COVID-19 - including research and treatments

Okay, now I understand why all the online stores were out of this drug! My husband is the one who takes it (he just takes whatever generic famotidine he can find). Back in March we had no trouble getting some online but we tried to get a refill a day or two ago with no luck.

Question: Coronavirus & home sewn masks?

Good tips! I've also seen a suggestion to use some sort of tape (something that won't hurt your skin, like the tape that you use with old gauze bandages, or maybe even a band-aid) to tape the mask to your nose under your glasses.

A Life Hidden - Blog posts by Naomi Whittingham

True. A healthy person who has to stay inside all the time will need some sort of outlet(s) - a new hobby, some new online interaction, an exercise routine - to burn off their excess physical and mental energy. There's just no way that I have any practical tips for someone who is healthy...

Well-known, famous people with Covid-19 and Long Covid

Warning to those who might want to watch - the host calls the novel coronavirus, aka, SARS-CoV-2, "the Wuhan virus" within the first 10 seconds. I had to stop watching at that point. Language like "Wuhan virus" or "Chinese virus" may have been okay back before the virus was identified and...

The Economist 1843 - Notes on isolation, from those who know it well

This is so relatable. Even without all the extra work caused by this coronavirus (I know you all feel this! Wiping down groceries, or leaving canned goods unused for 3 days, and making sure to label/separate them so you don't use them too early) so many things just stay broken, or are not...

Question: Coronavirus & home sewn masks?

Instructions for how to make a mask from a t-shirt. :mask: No sewing required. Scissors are used to cut out a mask that ties behind your head. This is one of the homemade mask options that looked like something I could actually do. And for me, tying it behind my head would help to remind me...

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

Is there some reason why a lot of the graphs show only the positive results and don't show the negatives or total number of tests done? Here's one website that breaks down test results for the US - it has both positive and negative results: https://covidtracking.com/data/us-daily/...

Trial By Error: A Long-Time Patient Reflects on a Stay-At-Home World 2 April 2020 By David Tuller, DrPH

As someone who has moderate ME -- too sick to work, loads of symptoms, resting takes most of my time, BUT I can usually get out of the house once per week -- I really appreciate this quote from Sarah Sweet's post. Even though my health sucks, it's important to remember how many folks would be...
