I get that problem sometimes. In my case it is cramp, and it happens when my feet get cold soon after I get into bed. I use a hot water bottle about 9 or 10 months of the year. And if summer is very mild cool I might use one all year, in the hope of keeping the cramp away.

Have you considered a cooling vest?

I've never tried one but I'm sure they were recommended by someone, I can't remember who, on this forum quite a while ago, and they specifically mentioned...
Does anyone else get a severe drained feeling from taking magnesium? Like that same feeling as when you’re been upright for too long and need to lie down immediately.
Yes. But I take it before bed so it helps me sleep. I wouldn't take it in the morning or afternoon. That would make me feel dopey.
I don't go to therapy, but if I did I would be horrified to learn that my sessions were being recorded. I wonder if they tell the patients. And if they do (tell the patients) I wonder if the patients can insist on their sessions not being recorded.
Illnesses have symptoms. If they didn't the patient would never know they were ill. So all illnesses eventually have symptoms and are symptom-based, in my opinion. It therefore suggests to me that the authors are just trying to reduce the number of people who get proper investigation, which is...

I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this - ME gets quite a big mention. The Alliance was launched on the 4th November 2025.

I wonder when the parents are going to be trained in these pain reduction efforts, who is going to do the training, and who is going to pay for the training.
In my childhood my parents wouldn't have used pain reduction if they thought I deserved it, they would be the ones creating the pain in...
I think this is a good article on this subject, and its worth reading despite its age :

I must admit, having re-read that article about this I find it strange that the author thought people needed advice on how to stay warm indoors in winter. There are really only two options - put on the heating and/or wear more layers of clothing. And people don't normally choose to be cold when...

I have persistent indigestion which began in my teens. (I'm now in my 60s.)

I got my flu jab at a pharmacy yesterday. It was painful at the time it was done (which might have been a reflection of the skill of the person wielding the needle, but I'm not sure) but the pain reduced to virtually nothing very quickly.
I read somewhere, can't remember where, that privately...
The Green Book is the UK "bible" on vaccines.
The chapter on Covid vaccination has been recently updated (dated 1st September 2025) and discusses who is entitled to free vaccination plus various statistics about Covid, hospitalisations, and deaths ...
Thanks for linking that video, @Sasha
I had assumed that N95 masks were just better "sieves" compared to the normal cheap masks that were available in shops in the UK during the pandemic, and as a result I never considered seeking them out. Also I never saw anything that explained why N95 masks...
I've been taking an opioid for about 10 years. I wasn't taking my whole prescribed dose (I'm terrified of becoming addicted to anything and then having my prescription removed). My pain was getting worse and I decided I should consider raising my dose to maximum, but then someone told me about...
