Very good point. I actually think u might need training over a longer period to see that response in mild/moderate-patients, which then e.g could be tested for lactate and general functioning level like a month after etc. This would probably be unethical though, and then there's the issue of not...
Happy to finally see it published.
Seems to me to indicate that we lack the ability to recover from day 1 and increase our physical performance, as fast as healthy controls?
What do u think @Jonathan Edwards ?
Yea I think ur spot on here Dechi! Come to think of it, when i had my first collapse after football training exactly 5 years ago when i first got ill, I struggled with similar anxiety episodes for like a month, just not as intense as the last ones ive had. Then eventually i started gradual...
Thanks for your thoughtful reply Jonathan!
Interesting to hear u have experienced something similar.
I don`t know how to explain what it is either, funny u mention it. I would say that what the literature describes as an "impending sense of doom" fits quite nicely, which comes when my heart...
Its weird, cause in my case my PEM/crash can be delayed by a month after starting gradual exercise. It has happened everytime ive tried, and probably wouldnt have been picked up in many of these studies. Obviously I will get PEM if i push too hard but then I will stop, much later however i will...
I dont think i have any heart problem, but when i had the first two episodes i could not know what was going on so that escalated the anxiety i guess.
Yea I wont continue with it, at least not as hard as i did it. The thing was that i never really got any obvious PEM from it before i collapsed...
Only high dose vitamin D, but I was on that for a month prior to this period so I dont know^^ Did u actually react on hot cacao chocolate? Saad its so good.. :)
Thanks, I believe it is excluded.. I dont normally get a high pulse when standing, just somewhat elevated blood pressure. I actually thought i had POTS before i got diagnosed
That has been the case before, but when i was lifting and collapsed it was the most "violent" episode yet. After that ive been having these panic attack ish episodes without excercise.. Its extremely weird to me, im just so confused atm
By the way, thanks for taking ur time to reply. I dont want to hassle my family/friends more with ME-related stuff, so its great to be able to talk about it somewhere:)
Interesting
We talked about it last week. She`s a fresh doctor substituting my GP for a year, and I must only assume she thinks im crazy:P She wrote an application to a psychiatrist anyway. We didnt really know what to do, im already thoroughly checked for heart related issues. I mean i might...
So I`m having a bit of an issue the last week.
After doing strength training the last month, I ended up collapsing at home with high heart rate shaking, anxiety etc. Since I assumed something was very awry, i called 911, but after 10 minutes i started to stabilize. The whole episode was very...
I think this is very likely, and a well known phenomena already.
When i did ritux privately, I remember feeling better around the second to third month.. I wondered if it was real, or just a mix of summer and hope. Well since I`m kind of a self destructive person I decided to go out and bike...
I suspect too that objective parameters would not be indicative of "no fatigue" in the group with placebo. I dont think patients with long term illness are suited to judge their own functioning level after being sick so long, unless they directly compare their activity level to that of...
