Maybe, but a lot of people say they gain weight regardless of calorie intake being lower than calorie expenditure, obv. you cant take what people say regarding this for facts, but it does seem to be a real thing e.g. with cortison treatment (although a lot of the weight gain there is fluid)
Ive noticed that two people ive followed for a while (Whitney Dafoe being one of them) has claimed symptom relief from this
Maybe it could be worth doing a trial on?
I dont usually care too much about anecdotes, but I am interested in things that alter brain function, as Im interested in...
Nah ME is so underfunded, and a lot of the little research being done is nonsense. Hopefully we can get into gears a bit with the whole longcovid-scenario
Great work!
Wanted to do this myself, but wasn't sure where to start
The overview makes it blatantly obvious why nothing is happening. Barely no one is researching..
Im gonna be totally honest here
We dont need this type of research
Yes pain hurts
But give funding to someone who is actually capable of researching something worthwile, not the funding leeches
In the musical therapy for ME-study (lmfao), the participants also had similar high daily averages. He is not researching us who has problems getting out of the house in a consistent fashion, that is for sure
"If ME/CFS is truly like dauer6, then the biological clock of aging is slowed during illness7, but in a perverse twist of medical fate, without relief from long-term disabling symptoms."
This sounds like nonsense to me
Should do more research before all these crazy theories

They have gotten a lot of thorough background and methodological feedback...
"If confirmed, then deep brain stimulation of the midbrain, or transcranial direct current stimulation or magnetic stimulation of cerebral cortical regions may be considered as therapeutic options for ME/CFS and GWI in the future" - I just have to chuckle at this. It reminds me of something you...
I dont know, I still feel that our best chance of finding something will be when someone has strong PEM. Obviously it would be a challenge ethically and practically, but when it gets so bad i struggle to read, write and exist, there must be something measurable going on, although critically; it...
Does anyone have an overview over how many studies have been conducted on two day cpet now? Seems to be a likely consistent finding in ME-patients. Great!
Reminds me, whatever happened to Justin Bieber and his diagnosed borrelia?
At the time i thought, great! They will have one of the most famous celebrities ever as the spokeperson. Now, when i search for "Justin Bieber borrelia", the only searches that pop up is from January. Now, they were...
