Yes, I was only able to proceed the 2nd time because the advice (now removed) on the Asthma UK website had shown that my asthma should be considered as severe according to my current medication. (The Asthma UK site now says to ask your own GP whether your asthma is 'severe'.)
I think they changed the questions after @Wonko asked about them on the forum. I noticed that the 2nd time I did it they listed the specific clinical conditions in the question about whether you were extremely vulnerable, and also emphasised the 'clinically vulnerable' point.
I'm wondering if this means that they are going to share the complete list of everyone who signed up (who clicked they needed help) with the supermarkets this week, without any editing. This would be good news for everyone who doesn't meet the clinical criteria set out by the NHS.
I hope so...
Unfortunately I am outside of the area my nearest Iceland delivers to (they only deliver within 5 miles of their store). If I pay in store for items in my shopping trolley, they will deliver them later in the day, because I'm within 10 miles. That's not much use if you're housebound!
That's the application I use. The practice has to sign up with it as far as I'm aware (that is, they issued me my original login password linked to the email address I provided, which I was then able to change). It is a very good system, but I expect individual practices have to pay for a...
Thanks for posting that Trish, I was wondering what was happening with Tesco. I have 2 slots booked with them for next week and the week after that, that I booked a few weeks ago when slots were still available. I'm really concerned about my daughter having to shop more than necessarily. Her...
I managed to get more personal 'allowances/reasonable adjustments' from my GP because at the time I had an independent professional advocate, my Rethink support worker or my daughter with me for all my appointments. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist who did my autism assessment ran some...
Before they changed the rules about a year ago (can't remember exactly when) I wasn't able to order my repeat Tramadol electronically, although I was able to order everything else. So my GP practice agreed I could give them a year's worth of self-addressed envelopes (or addressed to the pharmacy...
If you go to your practice's website, you might find a link to 'Accessible Information Standard' or 'Accessibility'. It'll likely be hidden away where no one who isn't specifically looking for it will see it!
This is what my surgery's website says:
But of course, it still doesn't list it's...
My GP will accept emails and letters by email attachments but insists on sending her responses by hard copy letter (the reasoning is about the 'lack of security' of emailing). I made that arrangements years ago, before the Standard was introduced by NHS England. I still haven't got around to...
Just to remind people, GP practices should be following the Accessible Information Standard and allowing contact by email if the patient needs to communicate this way:

Absolutely.
Personally, if I didn't have my healthy daughter to help me, I would be back to suffering the severe mental illness (autism related) I've managed to keep at bay for the last few years.
Tesco (my normal delivery company) haven't locked me out, but all their slots are booked for the next 3 weeks (they now only put 3 weeks of delivery slots up, it used to be 4).
Ha Ha - yes, I was referring to the fact that electrical shops are all closed and I remember reading something about all the freezers selling out over a couple of weeks ago with all the panic buying...
Now is not the time for me to buy a decent freezer, but this looks a great way to buy a few month's worth of treat meals at a time (i.e. over £50 to get the free delivery).
Checked out the company that my council uses. This is their coronavirus update:

A Google search might produce your local Sainsbury's address and telephone number. E.g.:
https://stores.sainsburys.co.uk/0709/hankridge-farm
Edit: So maybe your request would be dealt with by their customer service desk. Probably worth sending a letter to both addresses.
I don't want that either, but whereas I could (possibly) hide the actual medical cause of being housebound from neighbours (by not divulging this and referring only to having neurological/immunological problems) I cannot hide my autistic communication difficulties in any interactions. Before my...
