Pyridostigmine Improves Hand Grip Strength in Patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, 2025, Scheibenbogen et al

From some cursory research I did previously, it seemed like military got a relatively low dosage:

Circulating Levels of SMPDL3B Define Metabolic Endophenotypes and Subclinical Kidney Alterations in [ME], 2025, Rostami-Afshari, Moreau+

Part of the discussion was about how the difference might have been driven by contraceptive use: I think it would have made sense to consider contraceptive use in this paper as well, but I don't see that word mentioned.

    Genetics: RABGAP1L

Linking to the thread for a fibromyalgia GWAS since there was a signal in the same region and they believe it may be related to GPR52: The two relevant loci in DecodeME, showing that there may be a signal in the HTT region in ME/CFS as well (black triangles are locations of top hits from...

The genetic architecture of fibromyalgia across 2.5 million individuals, 2025, Kerrebijnet al.

More from the paper: As the images I posted above show, there seem to be at least suggestive signals (p<5e-6) at these same two locations in DecodeME. So maybe GPR52 and HTT form an important pathway in ME/CFS as well. Another drug target:

Fibromyalgia and hand diseases: A case-control study, 2025, Magen et al

They did match by age, so there should be the same proportion of elderly people in the control group.

The genetic architecture of fibromyalgia across 2.5 million individuals, 2025, Kerrebijnet al.

I pulled up the top hits from this study and compared to DecodeME to look for those that are in the same general location as at least a somewhat significant locus in ME/CFS. So these images are the results for ME/CFS, but with the top fibromyalgia SNPs marked as black triangles and with their...

Trial Report Plasma cell targeting with the anti-CD38 antibody daratumumab in ME/CFS -a clinical pilot study, 2025, Fluge et al

I don't know if it's circular. It's more like NK cells might be relevant because of the study correlation. And ADCC might be relevant if NK cells are relevant. True, there might be other possibilities for why NK cells were significant (including randomness).

Trial Report Plasma cell targeting with the anti-CD38 antibody daratumumab in ME/CFS -a clinical pilot study, 2025, Fluge et al

If we suppose that high NK count is related to better antibody dependent cell cytotoxicity, might the fact that the correlation was with blood NK cells provide a clue about where the cells that need to be killed are? The multiple myeloma studies found correlations with NK cells in the bone...

Open Norway: Plasma cell aimed treatment with daratumumab in ME/CFS (ResetME) - Haukeland University Hospital

Well nothing indicated that people with high NK cells had worse ME/CFS. There's the possibility that NK count doesn't have much to do with the illness itself, it's just if you happen to be a person with high numbers, dara can work more effectively. An imaginary related example is if there was...
