My ex text to say the queues at supermarkets here is on average an hour and a half, it's down the street. He says everyone is outside like a normal Saturday :banghead:
Tagging @wdb
Morrison's food box arrived this morning. DPD gave me a delivery time of 10.27 to 11.27 and it arrived bang on...
I feel it's neuropathic pain too (hoping) also hope it doesn't last long as I can only take pregagablin for a maximum of 3 days before bad side effects start kicking in.
A few times in the past I've had what can only be described as a shingles type pain on a thigh in a smallish area roughly 3 inch diameter and it fades after an hour or so and that's it gone.
I'm having a similar thing right now but it's most of my left thigh. Started 2 hours ago. I'll have to...
Same here I was on around 65 quid for 17 years on income support. It was only when they decided that under 35 year olds were only allowed one bedroom and were forcing singles into bedsits that they forced me to apply for PIP after failing DLA 17 years earlier; because being bedridden for years...
I emailed my MP thanking him for helping me and that it's greatly appreciated, however it's not enough to survive on long term and that the issue still needs to be raised so that the usually housebound are able to order their own food.
He replied immediately! Asking if there's any other...
Asda are introducing the volunteer card... Apart from being another step towards the cashless society they are quietly tip-toeing towards, how useful exactly is it for people who are housebound...
I was thinking the same thing. Out of the whole lot, maybe tea bags, milk and soup. We can only hope that the people in the vulnerable group receive a better choice of food given that they have health problems.
I'm not complaining, my main concern was being put in the vulnerable group which...
I totally agree, but apparently, it's more than sufficient for poor people to live off of.
If I really had zero food right now, I'd have to be getting very inventive
Thinking about it, I'm guessing this food aid is from the only local government charity that was advertised on the council website last week, one that is usually a food bank that I didn't apply for as I do have money. So it looks like I'm getting this
Wow!! It was yesterday afternoon that the social worker text me, and this morning, 10 minutes ago, a food parcel arrived on my doorstep at 10am :woot: It was downstairs but I ain't complaining! Just a normal young lad delivered it.
This is what was included:
1 toilet roll,
Bag of noodles,
Bag...
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Well at least I know what kind of reply I'll be getting from them now. Looks like sainsbury's is in the lead so far with regard to giving a toss.
Well that's never happened before, not so soon anyway nor to this severity :nailbiting: I've often had lemons out at room temp for weeks and they've been fine.
This pack of three is only a few days old
I don't suffer with anxiety. But I'm feeling it right now, probably unwarranted but feeling it none the less.
MP contacted my council's support hub on my behalf, and a social worker text me. So difficult answering questions... Need to answer just enough to get food, but not so honest that they...
