Talk about throwing thousands of cards (theories, instruments, schemas) up in the air and taking it all very seriously which makes the study unreadable.
They could have just said that FM is very disturbing to sufferers.
But I learned a new word from the article: somatoparaphrenia.
Which...
I understand the frustration with the NIH. However taking an axe to it may not be beneficial.
Reminder that RFK's former profession was that of lawyer.
Not a scientist, not an MD. Although he has media prescence, his bona fides in the medical community here are close to zero.
Columbia...
Video of Patricia Fennell, MSW (Massachusetts ME/CFS &FM Association presentation)
"A Powerful Paradigm for Living with Chronic Illness" originally from October 26. 2024
Patricia Fennell's introduction and presentation begins at 15:28. (I found it helpful.)
Yeah, I've been rolling on a tennis ball to unknot the excruciating tender points upper mid and lower back and glutes. But I avoid it 'cause the tennis ball is not as tempting as the toddler's softer, air-filled plastic ball that I used to have, for years.
Amazon searches are futile, so I need...
This association used to put out a paper newsletter and was very useful. The creator of the association has resurrected the website and updated some of her useful articles.
I find much of it useful.

Huge increase in mental clarity, at 40 hours post vaccination (2 vaccines noted above). Persisted throughout day two yesterday.
Ability to think sharply and fully and without the usual "interferences." Able to drive without any trepidation as I had years ago.
I was so startled by this...
(I have severe FM but whether ME, unsure--if so, mild.)
Got Novovax updated covid vaccine and the trivalent flu vaccine yesterday (tri- this year because they dropped a strain that wasn't circulating for the past few years).
Compared to last year's senior double dose of a quadravalent vaccine...
They authors had to pay $1100 to publish their report. Is that the norm or would the publishing company be considered suspect.
Do the r levels cited mean anything much?
They don't mention monitoring the diet of the partipants, I will assume so. The publisher charges a whopping $95 for a PDF of...
I think that here (in the US) the oldster flu vaccine is double-dose for our paltry immune response. I don't know the formulation this year, it always changes. And they add the (nasty) adjuvants (chemical addition) to boost your side effects (in reality boosts your immune system's response)...
Having diabetes would put you in that category (for the covid booster) in the US (as would obesity, smoking and other stuff).
Influenza serious outcomes ditto, I suspect.
Maybe I'll schedule my two shots on Nov. 8th in solidarity (the double dose influenza vaccine for oldsters --several days...
They don't make it easy do they.
I regularly watch, every Saturday, Clinical Update with Dr. Daniel Griffin on TWIV Microbe TV a podcast made by virologist Dr. Vincent Rancaniello (He has a website where Dave Tuller writes his posts).
They said recently that there won't be data on the...
Reminds me of reports decades ago about long distance women runners who become too thin via not replacing calories lost in exercise, and stopped menstruating and if prolonged, lose bone mass, among other things.
Interesting.
Based on n=15 ingesting the creatine phosphate.
Dietary recall of last 24 hrs used; that could be inaccurate.
Has this type of study been replicated with similar results?
Also, buying supplements in the USA, unless you subscribe to a lab service which analyzes this particular...
I have been diagnosed with both FM and CFS, 28 years ago.
I find the words used for diagnosis (IOM 2015) are imprecise:
non-refreshing sleep, confusion, what exactly do these mean?
Since the etiology of either diagnosis is unknown, whether they are closely related is speculation.
The...
Probably doesn't matter, T-cell memory is there and is what prevents hospitalization and death
This was dicussed on the current episode TWIV--microbe TV episode with Dr. Daniel Griffin and virologist Vincent Rancaniello.
