Medicine Journal : Chronic fatigue syndrome - Stephen Perry 2020

Yes, RVallee, "people can just write whatever they want and call it a published paper for their resume." We have all seen this in all the colleges and universities everywhere, and there is an awful lot of it in the ME area. In the meantime, folks are desperately sick, desperately in need of...

ME researcher Jonas Bergquist - interviews, talks

Gosh, I hope I fall asleep tonight--that's how agitated I became after the interview--even though he was calm, rational, insightful, level headed and a from what I heard, a good scientist. But basically, Dr Bergquist summarised what most of us already have learned from the various summaries on...

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

Dear [Guest]..., yes he said it was ME specific relative to controls. He pointed out the micro RNA s he consistently finds in ME patients, are not presenting in the controls. But you might want to glance at his paper; it's not that long and 'abordable,' as we say.

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

In the interview, Moreau gave a figure for the number of micro RNA s there were, and then he stated that there were some very specific ones, and he gave a figure for the number, that are common to folks with ME. But Andy, your point is well taken. But Moreau did emphasise that the test was ME...

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

They are using both; sometimes a journalist will just lapse into the fatigue name. At lease that is what I noted on Radio Canada.

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

Seems Radio Canada had even more about Dr Moreau. Around lunch time they have a science programme, and today there was a discussion about Dr. Moreau's work and his publication. There was even a brief interview with him. What most impressed me was that the word 'fatigue' was only used with...

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

I have written to the Prime Ministers office during the pandemic, and indicated that his subsidies ignored those who were disabled. I was happy to receive a long kind letter, and eventually 600$ was offered to those who are 'disabled.' I think Bombino you should fall on receptive ears. AT...

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

Every Sunday morning on Radio Canada (French language CBC) they invite Dr Quach Than researcher in microbiology and immunology to speak about the latest development in Covid research. This morning, when they were speaking about the fact that Covid strikes some folks very mildly and others...

Profile of circulating microRNAs in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis......(2020), Nepotchatykh, Moreau et al

Forgive me, but I have trouble imagining how a very severely ill patient, who is often bed bound, could tolerate 90 minutes of cuff pressure on their arms. Perhaps I am missing something....

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

Thank you dear Snowdrop. You are correct, and this is what the point of exposing the privacy of Whitney was-- For the world to see the suffering. At this moment, however, here in Canada, all the attention is on Covid. The numbers are skyrocketing again, and things are closing down again...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

And this, dear LeoKitten, is why I am in a rage around the clock. They physicians/scientists/researchers simply do not really live with the patient's reality in the forefront. Even I, as a parent, watching this day to day, do not really in any profound way penetrate the true reality of being...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

[QUOTE="Jaybee00, post: 293171, member: 5 I won't pin any bad stuff on MECFS doctors unless they absolutely forced something on a patient against their will. In my opinion, it is incumbent on patients to do their own research. -------------------- Dear Jaybee, no one is trying to 'pin any bad...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

Dear Jaybee, Please please please, we have been on this harsh dark road for a very long time. My talented daughter's life was destroyed. We travelled the world looking for help. We tried so much stuff, your jaw would drop--because CFS doctors were using these items. They would help briefly, at...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

Yes, that was it, to help with sleep, which in ME is sometimes so dysfunctional. Our family member simply could not fall asleep: we tried sleep machines, meditation, breathing, yoga, you name it, and then finally that monster Klonopin was prescribed for sleep. Of course, the doctors don't...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

I quite agree with your points LeokItten. The other thing I wonder about is the interplay between Abilify and Klonopin, another psychiatric drug. Many ME folks in the usa and canada are on Klonopin. They have been on it for years, and have trouble getting off it, because it is so addictive...

    Aripiprazole - Abilify

I understand that Dr Bonilla has been using this med at Stanford with a good number of patients. But I also understand that a good number of folks have not been able to tolerate this. I am interested in what this drug may be doing, however. I'm listening to any explanation. Thank you.

Jes, you are spot on. If the core problem is not known, then these various treatments like hydrocortisone do eventually result in frightful crashes, which are very long, months, and years. We have gone through this on many occasions where a doctor prescribes something and there is a bit of an...

Question: Coronavirus & home sewn masks?

A friend shipped me a couple; his students made them on 3d computers; it looks just like the sort worn by nurses. I really like it. But I do not know really how much aerosol it keeps out. I live in Canada;you don't see too many on the street, but no one bothers me.
