I wrote the above post on 21st April. I went back to the same shop today and had an even more stupid experience.
The fruit and veg aisle is on the far right of the shop as people walk in. When I got there today the end of this aisle was blocked completely by a big sign telling people to follow...
I'm posting this because it does mention "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" and "CFS", however it is not the focus of the paper. I thought it might be of interest to someone.
The authors are Anthony Samsel, who I've never heard of, and Stephanie Seneff who I have heard of and have read some of her...
A question that has crossed my mind frequently when I've read abstracts/papers like the one this thread is about is when do the authors believe that people saying "I'm in pain" is "acceptable", "normal" and "healthy" and not the sign of someone displaying a symptom of mental illness?

Pain isn't real.
People who say they are in pain are mentally ill, attention-seeking...
This is how Angela Merkel explained the effect of a higher #covid19 infection rate on the country's health system. (In German with English subtitles.) I thought it was very good.
I went to my local Tesco Express yesterday. They've set up a one-way system like other food shops I've been to. The shop is very small and the aisles are very narrow. There were a couple of people ahead of me and we were all spread out adequately according to the marks on the floor and the 2m...
Based on the worldometers info, I can't work out why the USA figures for Deaths per Million are half those of the UK (US 118 vs UK 237). Can anyone give some plausible reasons for this? As far as I can tell the USA and the UK were and are as bad as each other in terms of preparation for a pandemic.
A really shocking and sobering blog post from Dr Malcolm Kendrick on Covid-19 in care homes in the UK:
https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2020/04/17/care-homes-and-covid19/
I was also shocked by some info from Dr Kendrick in the comments on the subject of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)...
Ditto for me.
The live chickens idea is actually feasible for me - one of my neighbours kept chickens for a while. Unfortunately they were killed multiple times by urban foxes, and were replaced every time until the owner couldn't stand the carnage any more. (I don't know why he didn't spend...
My husband just went to our local Tesco Express. When he came home he shouted up the stairs that he had managed to buy eggs! With further discussion it turned out that the shop had loads of eggs! Dozens and dozens!
How many did he buy? Six.
When I asked him why he hadn't bought a dozen he said...
I'm still mourning the loss of eggs. I ran out some time ago and haven't seen them available for sale in Tesco for 5 weeks? 6 weeks? I can't believe that chickens have stopped laying eggs, so where are all their eggs going?
I wanted to get some idea of the type of questions in the Rome questionnaires but I couldn't find examples of any of the questions, so I'm trying to interpret this paper in a void. The questionnaires themselves are licensed by the Rome Foundation, so they aren't freely available, people using...
I've just found a link on the subject and there are quite a long list of contraindications and complications :
https://litfl.com/prone-position-and-mechanical-ventilation/
Surely being in the prone position requires people to turn their heads rather a lot, or else they suffocate? And wouldn't that cause immense stress on people's necks? There are various reasons why I wouldn't be able to lie prone, and suffocation is just one of several.
I'm curious. Given that ME/CFS can cause widespread problems anywhere throughout the body, in muscles, nerves, bones, organs, which part of the body do the needles get stuck into when using acupuncture?
I've had acupuncture myself, about 20 years ago. In my case it was for a severe shoulder...
