Presumably he believes hypothyroidism is psychological then - the lists of symptoms (created by patients) on the web are often incredibly long.
List from a thyroid charity : https://thyroiduk.org/if-you-are-undiagnosed/hypothyroid-signs-and-symptoms/
List from the NHS ...
Is there someone in the background orchestrating all this? It is clear that people are trying to "disappear" the new ME guideline as fast as they possibly can.
What makes the researchers so absolutely certain that any effects (good or bad) from the jab that are expected and experienced aren't real? Are they suggesting that if someone expects something to happen it always will? If that's the case, I'm going to follow @DokaGirl 's example of the lottery...
What a pointless piece of "research", and given how expensive it is to publish, this must have wasted funds that could have been spent on something more useful.
Low Vitamin B12? Dehydration? Nutritional deficiencies? Malnutrition? Sleep deprivation? If doctors refuse to believe that nutrient levels are important to human life then of course the cause of falls will be "uncertain".
I'm afraid my brain saw the word "bear" between "drop" and "attacks". I...
I haven't noticed an increase in interest in any of the medical conditions that I have ever presented to doctors with. Obviously I get sick in the wrong way.
The above link no longer exists, but I found it in the internet archive :

Given that, during their fertile years, women lose blood during periods (and the amount can be substantial), and they can often end up low in iron, iron deficient, or actually anaemic, fatigue isn't very surprising. And given that women are rarely tested for low or deficient iron and ferritin...
With this finding of micro clots has anyone been given clot busting drugs used for people who get strokes? If not why not, and if yes, what was the result? I'm guessing they don't work in this scenario?
I didn't actually say that. I don't know if the immune system of women is only different to the immune system of men during pregnancy. I would find it much more believable that the immune system of women is different to that of men all during their fertile years, and possibly even before and...
I would have thought that the differences in the functioning of the immune systems in males and females must be part of the explanation, even if I can't take that thought any further (I have no medical training).
When women get pregnant their bodies must not reject the foreign body inside them...
Having seen such attitudes from doctors for years (i.e. there is nothing wrong with you and it's all in your head) I have assumed that it was because the DHSC (previously known as the DWP) wanted to spend less (or preferably nothing) on welfare benefits for people with ME. I have further assumed...
I don't mind if you copy it, but I would prefer to be anonymous - even though Arnie Pye isn't my real name! :)
@Suffolkres - who gets a mention in my post - might want to be anonymous too.
He really hasn't grasped how lucky he is. He's 65 and he appears to have spent the vast bulk of his life as a well man. Most sick people on this forum can't say that.
I do agree with the piece posted by @Suffolkres above that one of the worst aspects of any illness, particularly long-term...
<Sarcasm on>
When "Inspiritol" was being developed it was given a working name of "Snake Oil".
<Sarcasm off>
The name this stuff has been given is so dreadful I would laugh in the face of any doctor who recommended it for any purpose whatsoever. It also made me think of dreadful "inspirational"...
Is anyone allowed to be worried or anxious about anything at all these days, without being thought of as being mentally ill?
And yet, if I had a child who was suspected of having cancer, and I went out with a smile for everyone, cracked jokes, slept well, and was apparently as happy as Larry...
I don't expect an answer, but could this be an effect of the number of rounds of antibiotics someone has had throughout life? Or the type of antibiotics?
I bought as many of my GP records as I could get a few years ago. I can't see the flags and warning labels that alert doctors, nurses and receptionists to beware of me - that kind of information is withheld by doctors quite legally. They can withhold as many of a patient's records as they wish...
