@B_V - I see there's an agenda item listed as "Study Participant Panel: Moderator: Vicky Whittemore" - do you mind if I ask if you've been asked to provide input (as a study participant) for this event?

This will be an opportunity to point out the problems with the interpretation of effort preference in ME/CFS.

Thank you all so much for sharing this.

Looking at the PDF agenda shows the "effort preference" person is Madian, who I wasn't familiar with prior to this. As far as I see, looks like he's a relatively early career researcher who's primarily looked at non-pharma pain interventions, perceptions of pain, repetitive negative thought and emotional distress, etc. Hrm.

    and Silvina Horovitz

Reminder about this. Registration not required for virtual attendance.
Start time 1 am Friday in NZ; 11 pm Thursday in Sydney; 2 pm Thursday in UK
(I haven't double checked those times, there might be some daylight saving glitch, so just indicative)

Doesn't look like the effort preferences presenter, Nicholas Madian, is even a staff member. Way to show respect to a whole patient community that you have labelled as having effort preference problems - not.

Now we are being criticised for picking apart and criticising the research.
We're being told to 'hold hands together'. Lots of praise for Walitt.
