Are there any studies underway at present looking at the brain? I know Maureen Hanson is doing brain MRIs after exercise and the intramural study will look at the brain. Anyone else? It seems to be an area that is being overlooked by OMF and the remaining 2 Collaborative Centres. Jose Montoya is looking at one area as a potential biomarker....I can't think of anything further..

There's an Oxford study comparing ME to bipolar. It's sponsored by the psychiatry department, but it is an MRS study, looking at lactate.
Jarred Younger is doing stuff on measuring the temperature in the brain - neuroinflammation. I think he's done a pilot study on ME, not sure whether he has funding to do more. Currently doing a study for rheumatoid arthritis. https://cas.uab.edu/younger/research/
