Apps to dim screen on ipad?

Question is in the title of the thread.

Needs to be ones which are available on the Apple app store.

If I could "turn the colour off", that would be even better. On my (Android) phone I am able to put it into grayscale.

Obviously I am already using the inbuilt screen dimming function, I've selected the lowest brightness level, but I'd like to be able to dim it below that.

On iOS 14.4.2:

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Colour Filters (slide to the right to activate) > Greyscale

To dim the screen, you can reduce the intensity of bright colours with "Reduce White Point":

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Reduce White Point (slide to the right to activate) > choose how much to dim using the slider that appears below

You can combine greyscale with reduced white point.

ETA: if you would like to filter blue light, you can turn on Night Shift (under Settings > Display & Brightness) and select a time schedule, either constantly or at specified hours only.

You could see if this solution still works:

To lower brightness lower than the limit:

Settings app > General > Accessibility > Zoom:
Set Zoom Region > "Full Screen Zoom"
Set Zoom Filter > "Low Light"
Set Maximum Zoom Level all the way to the right (The highest value)

Go back to Accessibility:
Settings app > General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut:
Set "Triple-Click The Home Button For" > Zoom

To Test: Triple click the home button and the screen will go darker.

Edit: you can then adjust screen brightness levels in the usual way.

OH MY LORD. This is a game changer. Not sure how I failed to find this setting for 2 years. But I've got the ipad in grayscale now, and reduce white point, and wow that's so much less stimulating.

Alas, it only works on Mac it looks like rather than iOS, but I use this one and don't know what I'd do with out it: Screen Color Filters. It allows me to set it to a very dark red filter, meaning I don't have to wear sunglasses if I turn on my laptop when it's dark. It also has other colors you can filter with too.

The App Store has a whole bunch of different types of screen filters. The one above is nice as it's super easy to use but also allows for a lot of choice.
