Community Resources
We are mission-driven to educate the medical community, advance research, and impact today's quality of life for patients everywhere. We feature some of the many ways we are doing that below:

WEEK 1: Health Care Provider Information Letter

WEEK 2: Monthly Support Groups & Flu Vaccine FAQ

WEEK 3: Monthly Education Series & Fibro Flare FAQ

WEEK 4: Sharable Graphic for Social Media

WEEK 5: BHC 2020 Strategic Overview

WEEK 6: Disability Resource Guide for ME/CFS and FM

WEEK 7: Diagnosing and Treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)

WEEK 8: How to Communicate Effectively with your Provider & Pre-Visit Health Assessment

Each week has downloadable PDF resources.

Each week has downloadable PDF resources.

The health assessment asks about hours of upright vs feet up activity, it does not ask about hours of cognitive function and only asks in general about brain fog. I find it frustrating that describing cognitive function is not given more importance.

The pdf about how to communicate with HCPs suggests that if you don't feel you are being treated appropriately by an HCP you should just find another one. It's a tough situation. In an ideal world, we could do that without running the risk of being thought of as "doctor shopping". And starting over with a new HCP (even one who understands/believes us) takes a lot of effort. I guess I am just grumbling about the lack of fair-minded HCPs.

ETA - I am glad BHC is working on these sorts of resources though.
