Good article. Troubling, some apply the weakest of the herd concept to so much, including this pandemic. This societal habit supports the view the elderly, and/or the disabled don't need the same level of care that everyone else has. I think this is one of the foundational beliefs governments have that rationalizes for decision makers, warehousing the elderly and/or disabled in for-profit long term care institutions. The pandemic has revealed the disgraceful and horrendous treatment of long term care residents.
