Blood flow problem in left arm ?

In my case i assume deconditioning plays a factor. It would be the main issue, as you cannot assume you keep your function if you do not maintain normal activities.

However. I know of others who have abnormal weakness in their arms, and decinditioning cannot explain this. It is why it is so important that our symptms get assessed by a professional.

I have very little hope that my doctor will know what to do. I will be going but apart from a few specific people, it seems like I come from a different planet and nobody knows what to do with me. It might have to do with the fact that my pain threshold is very high and I never really look like I am need of care, if that makes sense ? Or maybe not. I don’t know.

I’ll give it a try and we’ll see.

@Dechi it does’t need to get complicated Report your symptoms. If you are afraid to forget or to misexplain, then write it down. Take a picture of the position you sleep in. Take note of your own level of pain from 0 to 10.

Your dr’s job will be to do a physical exam, and determine whether the pain can be reproduced from movement or from touching tendons or else. He might even test strength and to see if there are difference with the right side. From there, either he will have a diagnosis and a plan, or will say i don’t know what you got, but let’s rule this and this out...

That is medicine.

I know what this is like :(
The best advice i can give is keep pushing, demand a specialist, if that doesn't work ask that specialist who they recommend (they won't offer usually unless you ask explicitly). Keep pushing till you get the answer that makes sense and preferably has objective evidence behind it.

Its been my experience that the doctor's abilities matter more then how things should go, when they see something they are not used to it short circuits their brain. It took me several decades to be diagnosed with ME, and about half a dozen doctors to figure out i had non 24 hour circadian rhythm disorder (this is sleep doctors).
And for some weird reason when its very unusual sending you to a specialist is the last thing they want to do, not the first. I really can't explain that one.
And when a specialist can't figure it out they just shoehorn you into what they know.

Follow-up : I’ve applied ice one and massaged my arm (not tender massage, but deep tissus/muscle massage) as much as I could tolerate the pain (from the other arm doing the massage).

I’ve also seen my massotherapis and she has given me 2 short and easy exercises to do. I started tonight.

So far I see improvement but it might be from being optimistic. I kept the doctor’s appointment so more to come.
