    Summary
This chapter discusses a selection of polysymptomatic syndromes that are relevant in the neurological and neurorehabilitation context. All of the syndromes discussed here are the subject of controversial debates. Specifically, chronic complaints after concussion or whiplash, chronic fatigue syndrome, syndromes of idiopathic environmental intolerance such as multiple chemical sensitivity, electromagnetic hypersensitivity and vibroacoustic syndrome are discussed. The clinical characteristics and general pathophysiological explanations are presented. The aim is to convey a familiarity with the clinical pictures for clinical practice that makes empathetic and interdisciplinary treatment possible.
