Interesting series of programs on BBC Radio 4 re dementia - " In this five-part series, neurologist Jules Montague and William Miller go into the homes of people with rare dementias, to discover that dementia is not ... " Of course, lack of research funding is an issue. Interestingly they mention genetic studies - multiple large GWAS studies have bee needed to identify genes which increased/decrease risk of developing dementia - which should help to target research. In ME/CFS the first big GWAS is underway - still recruiting - DecodeME.
