I've started this thread for discussions regarding the methodological issues and efficacy of the IAPT treatment model. In particular the move to treat 'CFS/ME' as a MUS that can be referred for IAPT CBT/GET treatment is now highly relevant to the ME/CFS NICE guideline.
I would hope that the NICE definition of ME and management recommendations explicitly state that an ME/CFS diagnosis is incompatible with an MUS diagnosis and that inclusion in an IAPT type treatment programme is totally inappropriate. Sorry this is putting the conclusion before the evidence, but I hope others with better memories and lists of references can add in the reasons that this conclusion is [at least to any balanced observer should be] inescapable.
You might want to consider moving these posts to the existing thread: https://www.s4me.info/threads/mus-services-in-uk-and-other-mus-related-issues.8318/page-8 MUS services in UK and other MUS related issues rather than start another thread re MUS.
