Not sure where to post this thread but we'll try here ..
Anyone else have issues with flushing ( redness ) of hands and feet ? Seems this is a new symptom for my son and dr has no clue as usual. His calf's also get small red spots on them.
The redness gets worse when he stands or walks or after he showers. He also seems to to warmer at night right before bed. When he gets warmer the hands get red.
I'm pretty sure the leg problem is the small blood vessels leaking in his legs. We did do some bloodwork wihch for the most part was normal. This seems to have gotten worse after he had a bout with the shingles.
We are trying diet changes to reduce histamine with no help yet. Just another really odd
    symptom in this ongoing process.
    Any guesses ???

Maybe similar, almost all of his feet ankle up the leg get very red. He does have some pain with it, but it's not severe. It did start this winter though ?? So that is a common link. I'll read up some more on Em. Thanks for sharing

Sounds like something I get (at least on the hands) - and I don't have ME! Are the spots on the leg related to the hair follicles at all, perchance?

I get very hot legs at night and cold hands and feet in the daytime. Sounds familiar.

No they are not hair follicles. It's more like tiny veins that are busting. Drs can't figure it out

red/blue colouring of the lower legs, could be blood pooling, instead of being pumped back to the heart.

if the small red spots are persistent, they might be petechia

another possibility is Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura
