Montreal ME/CFS I: Metabolism – the Main Matter? More Exercise Issues Plus Bad Brain Motor?

When reading this it always sounds so promising.

But are we really that far?

What is a bit frustrating is the funding issue - Klimas' research on GWI shows without money nothing's happening.

Did she really find a solution to GWI?

I think this is something we and others - especially doctors - need to realky understand:

The big surprise is how different chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is from Gulf War Illness. The metabolism gets hit hard in ME/CFS – everything gets shut down – but in GWI, all the pathways are ramped up. They’re two completely different illnesses which from the outside look exactly the same.
Marking by me.

If I remember correctly there was (and is) the belief that a disease will always present uniquely. Of course, this can't be correct. And here is one example.

Clinical trials for GWI are underway. As you know science takes a long time. Dr Klimas’ group has been very astute in incorporating ME patients as comparison to their GWI cohort, which has been helpful in understanding both diseases.
