Woman develops vertigo due to auto-immune disease. Treatment involves inner ear devices. https://www.nhnieuws.nl/nieuws/3427...-haar-gehoor-en-evenwicht-maar-er-gloort-hoop I thought I posted the translated (to english) article but it has reverted to Dutch)
The English version of the article is available by selecting language from drop down menu top right hand on the page.
The treatment device is a research device and the translated to English article states it can only be turned on in the hospital. Unfortunate. But it does give me hope that they may starting understanding how to treat vestibular issues better. I wonder how much of the orthostatic intolerance issues in ME are related to reduced to blood flow around the vestibular system. Or peripheral nerve damage leading to "false signals" that nudges the vestibular system out of whack.
Thank you @wigglethemouse you describe it so eloquently. If these devices work well, maybe in future it could help orthostatic intolerance. After a lot more research.
