This has just been on the news where I am. https://www.itv.com/news/meridian/2...unch-pioneering-study-looking-into-long-covid hmm, 'therapies to help people return to normal daily activities'
The 'come up with therapies' part may be a wee bit optimistic, but we won't figure ME out without data, so the more projects collecting potentially useful data, the better. I believe that ME is primarily neurological (with downstream effects on the body), so I support studies of the brain.
My brain has been scanned a couple of times, but not for ME. I was told I had some scattering of "white nodules" (I think), and when I said that I believed that it was common for folk with ME, was told that it wasn't unusual anyway. But I do have evidence that I have a brain.
Now I'm no expert in science or anything but I'm pretty sure this is not how this works. Sounds too much like the HMS PACE and it's pre-planned destination. Or maybe it's just a bad journalist with a fresh batch of hopium. Lots of work ahead before then.
