I came across this tool recently https://www.connectedpapers.com/ Which maps links between papers and helps in finding related papers and displays a map of them with colouring for age and node side reflecting references. You can search using key words pick a paper and then it graphs related papers and they become reasonably easy to then see how they are related and see the associated titles. For example if you are interesed in ME and genomics I picked a paper at random and it shows the related papers Epigenetic modifications and glucocorticoid sensitivity in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) | Connected Papers
@Adrian, Thanks for posting that. I tried it out and is was very useful. I liked how it also shows what authors are connected.
