worth reading further down as about half way through it talks about national strategies etc.

ME/CFS etc not specifically mentioned but it looks like potentially a big roll out and the description of serious illness or injury leaves room for broad possibilities if the extent of ambition talked about is there re number of centres.

I also note this must have been in discussions for a long time obviously and whilst there were many other reasons eg Lynne Turner Stokes (rehab based) was suddenly writing stuff about the ME/CFS Nice guidelines last minute ‘because of the overlap it would have with the long covid/covid guideline’, she was obviously so keen re:the long covid side of things … well that can’t help ringing in my mind too.

the other side of the coin is of course that - whether it is the ‘best way’ or not there is nothing for those who need hospital care who have me/cfs - other than what seems a scary joke of a place in Leeds. And the good work physios for ME are doing in noting ALL physios need to be aware of PEM not just those in that specialist services for ME/CFS because they will treat people with ME or LC for other things and need to adapt their approach to not worsen their health at the expense of ‘intention to improve something else’ so if there are roll-outs intended across the country and whatever the claims are re remit it does feel like preparation for discussions (and strategy of what would and wouldn’t be good for those with ME) on ‘this topic’ by those who are in ME and advocacy might be sensible to begin to be had - on the basis of it potentially becoming something relevant one day - even if just for those with comorbid issues etc?
