    Currently, the cost would be $15.50 per pill, so $31 a day for the suggested use of 1 pill every 12 hours.

    I wasn't able to find when it will actually be available for patients. It was just approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). It would be great to have a non-opioid pain drug if it's proven safe and effective long term.

    I'm one of the many patients who can't take opioids. They make me feel like I'm going insane and don't really help with pain. Actually, I'm kind of glad I can't take them, given the amount of substance abuse in both sides of my extended family. But that does leave me high and dry when I need a med for post-op pain.
