The Whittemore Peterson Institute, WPI, is seeking an existing medical practice with a desire to grow. We have no-cost clinical space, equipment, and significant financial support for a physician or full-time nurse practitioner. Adding this location to your practice is a unique opportunity to live and work near Lake Tahoe, where winter skiing and summer boating are only 35 minutes away. If you dream of extending your private practice and desire more time with your patients, this is right for you. WPI seeks an experienced Nevada-licensed physician, MD or DO, to expand its medical practice. The offices are furnished and ready to open. The Whittemore Peterson Institute (WPI) offers this grant-funded position at the Center for Molecular Medicine on the University of Nevada, Reno medical campus. In addition to the Grant, you can keep the profits. The WPI Collaborative Medical Grant includes an exam room, waiting room, infusion space (6 chairs), and a large conference room at no cost. In addition, the Grant consists of partial salary support for a nurse practitioner or physician for the first twelve months from the beginning of the practice. This Grant may be renewed subject to the agreement of the parties. Providers must be insured and licensed in the state of Nevada. Practice within this clinic must prioritize patients with complex, post-infectious illnesses, including but not limited to ME/CFS and Long COVID, three days a week. Meet Dr. Raymond Scott, Our New Interim Medical Director We are excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Raymond Scott, MD, as the Interim Medical Director for WPI in Reno, NV. Dr. Scott brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our institute, especially in dealing with post-viral syndromes like ME/CFS. A Leader in Post-Acute Infection Syndromes Dr. Scott started his career in Incline Village during the early stages of the ME/CFS outbreak. His dedication to serving patients with post-acute infection syndromes makes him a valuable asset to the medical community. Dr. Scott will mentor practitioners onsite. Additionally, he will engage with the community through WPI’s public communications to increase awareness and understanding. Meet Dr. Scott https://www.wpi.ngo/home Dr. Raymond H. Scott has built a distinguished career in internal medicine, spanning education, practice, and leadership. He earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Alabama, followed by graduate studies in Molecular Cell Biology and a Doctor of Medicine degree. Completing his internship and residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, he later established his career in Reno, Nevada. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Scott has held diverse roles, including private practice, hospitalist, and medical director. At Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, he served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Chief of Staff, demonstrating his commitment to patient care and medical leadership.
