Maybe Trevor Butterworth is strongly aligned with the pro-GMO movement and wants to use the argument that the author is aligned to anti-GMO to dismiss the Post he disagrees with?

This was a big complaint among the physics community years ago. I do not know if it was ever resolved. They said that new theories were being stifled because they were dismissed by peer reviewers with a vested interest in the old theories.
