Mini-crashes in late afternoon / early evening?

I was getting a really bad slump around 4:00 in the afternoon, and my PA suggested that I eat breakfast earlier than I had been. I had been eating about an hour after I woke up. This late-afternoon slump stopped after I started eating breakfast earlier, but I don't remember the reasoning behind it.

    Sudden improvement in eyesight

I'm sure your improved eyesight could have any number of explanations, but google cataracts and second sight. Improved near vision can be sign of cataract onset, but I don't know if it can cause the perception of sharper colors. My eye doctor said if you have enough birthdays, you will get a...

    Coronavirus - myths

Also, in the U.S., many young people are taking advantage of now cheap flights, not realizing they could more easily get the virus and/or spread it to someone else if they fly right now. An airplane is the last place I'd want to be. @Roy S, I think you're right about incorrect info being spread...

    Hand Sanitizers

I managed to get some disposable gloves about 10 days ago. I use them for pumping gas and at the grocery store, when I absolutely have to go. I've also seen people invert a produce bag over their hands at the grocery store for a make-shift glove, which is better than nothing. I have a little...

    Brain inflammation

@Jonathan Edwards, what does coffee pressure mean? When I googled it, all I came up with are descriptions of how espresso is made. Is this a British expression?

    Poll on turmeric and curcumin

The Longvida form of curcumin helped me overcome a short-term memory problem, and I continue to take it. The Meriva form of curcumin helps me with inflammation and pain.

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

They are fantastic for plane travel. When I flew from Texas to Toronto, a guy in front of me talked NON-STOP to the poor woman beside him the entire time. (She did not get in a word edgewise.) Had I not had the headphones, I would have stabbed him with my fork.

    Low-dose Naltrexone articles and experiences

I started off at 2 MG and slowly went up to 4 MG. I apply it in areas with more fat such as the inside of my thighs and the underside of the top of my arms. I was told to alternate sites so I apply LDN to one of those 4 areas before bedtime.

Supplements and activity designed to improve circulation - an experiment.

I tried maca a long time ago, and it gave me terrible insomnia that night. I did have some good energy during the day, though.

Low dose hydrocortisone as a treatment for ME/CFS

I take 4 MG of HC upon wakening, and it does help me get through the day. My cortisol was very low in the morning, and this small dose of HC along with an adrenal-supporting supplement normalizes my morning cortisol.

Jeopardy (TV show) asks a question based on SEID/CFS

I watched this Jeopardy episode. I thought it was reductive to equate systemic exertion intolerance with chronic fatigue. I think of PEM as a symptom, not the whole enchilada.

    NSAIDS

I sure do miss Darvocette. It was taken off the market in the U.S. not that long after Europe removed it from their market. I took it in the evening and never had a problem with it. It helped for both pain and sleep. In my case, it might be just as well that it is no longer available. Tylenol...

    NSAIDS

I take 3 Advil at night. My P.A. asked if I take them with food, and I told her I didn't since I take them shortly before bed. She read me the riot act and said I must have some food on my stomach before taking ibuprofen, even if it's only a few spoonfuls of yogurt. Otherwise, ibuprofen can...

OI is getting worse - what meds can help ?

I have mild OI, but it's under control with lots of water, which I always add Celtic salt to, and magnesium and potassium supplements. Electromix is a really good electrolyte powder that you mix with water. It has more potassium than many other electrolyte drinks.

    Gay conversion therapy

I've always been baffled that anyone would care who anyone else loves and sleeps with. Maybe it's a way to maintain power by encouraging hate against certain groups of people. I remember years ago when Jon Stewart had a famous, religious conservative on his show. MH talked about how gays choose...

Markers of non-coeliac wheat sensitivity in patients with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, 2018, Alaedini et al

I don't have celiac, but gluten makes my joints hurt, so that's a good incentive for me to avoid it for the most part. I tolerated it just fine for much of my life, though. I've also found that I've developed a dairy intolerance in recent years although I can sometimes have certain things like...
