Human Leukocyte Antigen alleles associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): Fluge, Mella et al 2020

I agree Personally for me it manifested with exercise intolerance with heavy cardio, until one day after football where I just collapsed in the street. Even though it had been gradual before that, pushing over the limit made the worsening sudden. It also means there must have been a sudden...

Human Leukocyte Antigen alleles associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): Fluge, Mella et al 2020

Good question Jonathan will be able to give an professional opinion, but loads of immune dysfunctions are "silent", you only see the aftermath

Human Leukocyte Antigen alleles associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS): Fluge, Mella et al 2020

Looks like solid work again from Fluge & Mella, especially the sample size :emoji_clap: They say: "A dysregulated activity of CD4 positive T lymphocytes, the principal cell type interfering with HLA class II alleles, have been discussed as a central mechanism in ME/CFS (42)" Maybe I should ask...

Chronic fatigue syndrome What nurses need to know, 2020, Bush

I mean, they kinda did: "The pathophysiology of CFS, which is not well understood" I guess the question is if one should conclude anything about what systems might be affected based on several studies that are not replicated. The answer is no I guess, but that's probably why IOM concluded it is...

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

True, Ill try it I`m a bit of a sissy when it comes to trying new things for ME (even though I tried ritux happily), or like, I feel I have to read up a lot before doing it, so I just end up not trying anything haha. Would def start on a low dose :)

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

I wholeheartedly identify with your thoughts here. I have found it profoundly difficult to contain myself whenever I feel like I`m not actively undergoing a metabolic storm. Even when in crashes I can barely walk, I will go and do something out of sheer existential stubbornness

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

Yea i suspect its really hard to judge if you dont have an obvious effect. Like you might be doing a little more than usual because you assume you get more energy, and then you get PEM.. Stuff like that. So it can be hard to know if the supplement caused u to crash, or if u just overexerted...

Cool  Did u try them together?

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

I think when I considered it I was just loosely wondering if it could lower brain fog. No good scientific reason hah

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

8 % is a lot! Thanks for sharing the study. Ill give this a shot :) Did u take Levocarnitine?

    L-carnitine, tryptophane and d-ribose

These are all supplements I have considered during the years.. But ive forgotten a lot about what ive read about them haha.. I know Fluge & Mella experimented with L-Carnitine, but I think some of the patients had side effects if remember correctly.. Has anyone here tried any of these, either...

Canadian criteria  Time to check if there is a connection between peripheral endothelial dysfunction and cerebral hypoperfusion?

What does having ME mean to you?

I don`t know if I have the words to describe how physically and psychologically fucked up it is There is a disconnect between "me", i.e the cerebrum, and the function of the rest of the body that is hard to describe. I feel like a ghost in my own life, a lot That`s not really the worst part...

    Rituximab and placebo response

To me the phase 3 trial placebos told me that we cant successfully study this disease without objective markers like steps or school/work. When you have ME in moderate/severe, very small increases in function can completely change how you perceive the level of suffering and function You have...
