Also, after i got ridiculed by the researchers, media and on social media after instigating a signature campaing pointing out the methodological flaws, this feels so much sweeter!! Whos laughing now baby!
Im so fucking ecstatic Jonathan.
I was one of the ones who sent appeals with the methodological concerns, and to see The Research Ethics Committees explicitly acknowledge what we wrote and agree has given me som belief in the system again. This was a HUGE decision for us. That study would have...
Welcome to the gang!
Dont think there has been..
I contacted Haukeland about it and asked if they would like to investigate, they were aware of the situation, but not something they prioritize obviously since were a small sub group
I actually tried Cialis once, because me and another with ME who become much better with alcohol hypophesized that the increased blood flow not only to the penis, but lungs, might improve symptoms.
Turned out it only further improved function locally however
And gave me a headache
Edit: I...
But the argument might be that hypothetically a proportion of ME-patients have long lived plasma cell pathology which Rituximab dont affect? Its obv. somewhat a shot in the dark, but if cyclo proved to work in phase 3 you could argue for trying it in lack of other options.
Perhaps! Yea i remember that discussion. Ill try to find it again later. It kinda is i guess, a lot of these long lived plasma cells are healthy and protecting us from various infections.

Fluge was interviewed by norwegian journalist Pål Schaatun in the context of the recently held Stryn ME-conference (https://www.mekonferansestryn.no/videointervju, no subtitles).
He said at the end that they are currently looking into ways to target long lived plasma cells
This...

Well at least they were honest about the PEM dropout.. I dont think they can conclude as they did though (that the individualised activity treatment helped)
Havent read yet, but my first thought is that there is absolutely no way that Melatonin and zinc has an significant impact on ME functioning.
This paper can probably tell us a lot about how useless questionnaires are in ME research (without objective endpoints like actometer...
