Effectiveness of an Online Multicomponent Program FATIGUEWALK for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Randomized Controlled Trial, 2023, Serrat et al.

Reinventing the pace wheel walking but apparently yet again no step counting no long term follow up beyond the 12 week programme apparently The remote format means participants would find it a lot easier to go under the radar if not fully adhering to the program.

Do diagnostic criteria for ME matter to patient experience with services and interventions?, 2023, Kielland et al

Does the translation using the term “rig” to describe how to design research reflect the original Norwegian in the quote of Helland. In English usage one meaning of to rig is to falsify eg to rig a vote.

Typing myalgic encephalomyelitis by infection at onset: A DecodeME study, 2023, Bretherick et al

Yeah gradual onset definitely doesn’t mean non infectious just that any infections didn’t cause a level of acute illness and seemed unexceptional so hard or impossible to pinpoint in the same way as a severe infection.

Long-term outcomes following hospital admission for COVID-19 versus seasonal influenza: a cohort study, 2023, Xie, Al-Aly et al.

Maybe there’s a good scientific reason for not looking into what the long term consequences from viruses generally can be before carrying out such research? And particularly if you’re looking at a specific type of virus, looking into its history eg the Flu pandemic. As a non scientist it is...

Presumably this is mainly at the suggestion/request of the family, or where a specialist such as Dr Weir has been advising. what gets put on death certificates can change over time for example pneumonia used to be reported as the cause of death for people with dementia, because dementia...

Monitoring app - Visible - a platform "designed for any invisible illness that benefits from resting and pacing - including ME/CFS & Long Covid."

I’m finding the apps judgment on my state as shown in the scores and accompanying comments pretty unhelpful eg for 48 hours I’ve had symptoms at my high end and hrv at the lowest point of my range it scored me as 4 you are at a stable baseline….. which is second highest level I think part of...
