How odd. Don't authors usually like to have their papers retracted.

    The "chronic brucellosis" papers.

I have just now made it to this thread and Holy S##t! I am not old enough to know someone to have brucellosis (undulant fever here), but I knew a couple of people who had previously had it. They were permanent invalids and nobody here thought it was psychosomatic. Brucellosis had not been...

Incomplete Healing as a Cause of Aging: The Role of Mitochondria and the Cell Danger Response (2019) Naviaux

I am obviously way behind on reading the forum, but should this have it's own thread? Unfortunately, many of us would qualify on more than one criteria.

    Efficacy of supplements

Perhaps it can cause vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies. I have tested low for potassium and B12, and find supplementing them helpful. I have not tested ubiquinol (I don't know that you can), but I also find it helpful.

Australian teenager tells story of threats and mistreatment

I would complain about your profane language if it weren't so true. ;) The physicians are arrogant idiots. I hope you are correct, but am not holding my breath.

Anyone with sudden and violent stomach cramps ?

Actually, I'm not sure my doctor or pharmacist told me either. I have a sister who had taken it (back problems run in the family) and she warned me. I still didn't manage to drink enough. Good luck!

This Is Your Brain on Exercise

I find it very demoralizing to read about all of the benefits of exercise. I do wonder what constitutes exercise for a person with ME. If I get my heart rate up to my anaerobic threshold, am I exercising even though my activity level is low?

I wonder if any of them had crowdfunding sites to raise money for 'treatment'? :emoji_money_mouth:

Huffington Post: 7 Things People With ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Want You To Know

When I loaded the Huffington Post article, I saw this: I clicked on "OK". I don't know what Oath is going to do when they find out my 'device' is a desktop PC. :D

Anyone with sudden and violent stomach cramps ?

Did your doctor tell you that many people need to take a lot of fluids with Tramadol? It tends to slow down the intestines. When I took it I thought I was drinking a lot of water, but it still felt like food was not even leaving my stomach.

    The Week: I'm a 40-year-old stay-at-home kid - and it isn't so bad

In home health care is insanely expensive. My parents did manage to stay at home until they died. In-home health carers are not always as understanding and compassionate as one would wish. My father wisely accumulated a lot of farmland to use as collateral on loans to pay for their care in...
