The Canary: The DWP is now co-working with the NHS. We should all be very worried. (Talks about IAPT and mentions PACE)

Looks like a good article but I can't read it because that "featured articles" video on the left is too distracting - moving picture in the corner of my eye when I'm trying to read is too annoying. Can't scroll it away or turn it off, so the article will just have to go unread.

Has that become a fact now? I'll have to be more careful ...

Well that could have gone both ways but fortunately I think it went our way. Interesting to see the longer clip - Gervais doesn't look as bad in the longer clip as he is made to look in Unrest - he says he knows it's a physiological disease and not psychosomatic. Possibly, I don't pretend to...

I'm not so sure. That's certainly how Sharpe is trying to portray it. She may have just been making the point that to write to her in such terms at all in any context is unacceptable. If his only defence is that he was falsely accusing her misrepresenting science, that's a pretty poor defence...

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

Now this is interesting. As well as his "have you really read it?" meme, he also has a "are you really a scientist?" meme. Both just name calling, but interesting.

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

One of the many things I had to give up because of ME was charitable work. When Michael Sharpe finally gets out of the way so that work on my illness can progress, if I ever recover to the point that I can take up charity work again, and I happen to find him in front of me hopefully holding up...

I suspect it would be interesting to see how he describes his critics, which would help show his true colours and undermine his credibility further. Oh I get it. In his briefing he said misrepresenting science in parliament is conduct unbecoming of an MP. She said standing up for the most...

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

Three mistakes in 4 words? (privilege spelt wrong, disappointing shouldn't be an adverb, though spelt wrong). Or does he mean the debate was disappointingly thorough? Unlike his grasp of spelling and grammar. No matter. This from a guy who has never used his privileged position to defame...

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

Rather annoying for Sharpe that the only speaker who could remotely be said to be offering Sharpe a glimmer of hope / a little defence, the minister, also demanded his apology. So after the most disastrous name-dropping exercise I've ever seen from Wessely, we now have the most disastrous...

Someone should tweet "I haven't actually read it ...". Then he'll have to post it, because we know how he likes to insist that people read things.

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

I reckon he's just poured Michael Sharpe a large measure of vodka and said "I think you should get back on twitter now, go on, I'll be along in a minute - oh, it's ok, take the bottle with you ..."

I think I can wind forward through the minister's response - I've got the flavour of it. His tone is completely wrong, he keeps quiping. His preparation seems to have been watching Unrest, and an undue amount of his time is taken up giving us his review of it. Reminds me of when my son is...

Well if he has the effrontery to show his face again, I'm looking forward to seeing the word "unbecoming" worked into every reply sent to him.

Mayor. That's the word. Mayor of Manchester. EDIT: Bugger, it's Carol, not Caroline. Didn't feel write at the time. Or right. Bugger.

Caroline Monaghan is our that guy who did the Hillsborough thing and ended up as the watchamacallit of Manchester. And we all know how that ended for Inspector Duckenfield (now there's a name I'll never forget even in the deepest brain fog since reading the transcripts of what happened in the...

I've only just watched his bit. First time so far I've been annoyed - looked like well-intentioned but not particularly well informed emotive posturing. Not the most helpful contribution. I actually thought he was going to burst into song at the end and sing "I believe, children are the future...

I'm watching this about an hour behind everyone else. The boss guy has just said the "wind-up speeches" will be starting at 16:00. He obviously hasn't been following Michael Sharpe's twitter feed, or he'd know they started some time ago.
