I don't remember seeing this tweet (from Friday 15th, writing to Simon Wessely) on this thread yet: Since then of course Mike Godwin has learnt of Simon's involvement in the trial, and has had the privilege of an exchange with one of the co-authors.

In my previous post I managed to restrain myself from typing "it can't be long now before Simon decides it's time to shit all over the PACE team". And what do you know? 5 minutes later he's back on twitter with this: Read you like a book Simon.

He makes it sound like a crime. Yes I noticed that. He's probably sitting in a corner somewhere working out how he can turn having dropped MS well and truly in it to his advantage.

He's actually paid to research this trash.

Well at least Mike Godwin gets his "read it again" prefixed with an "I don't want to be rude but ...". I suppose that's what passes for respect from Michael Sharpe. Godwin should be honoured.

So why didn't they respect the outcome instead of changing the outcome measures to get the results they wanted?

That is a very cheesy photo. Who decided that stock photo of silhouettes of professional finanace / lawyer types in a very expensive building was appropriate to depict a (purported) charity for sick people, and what does it say about how they see themselves and their ambitions?
