Had we had " specialists" I am sure that my daughter would be even worse. For a child to be able to regulate activity is a hard thing - to increase it with the premise of recovering would be easy - it's something that would give you your life back, who wouldn't. If you are told pushing through...

Recognizing and Improving Care for ME/CFS, FM and ES/MCS (Canada)

Prevalence rates interest me as the cfs figure seemed high. Given there may be environmental factors in causation and/ or perpetuation prevalence rates v location would be an interesting study.

Children’s views on research without prior consent in emergency situations: a UK qualitative study, 2018, Woolfall et al (including Crawley)

What is the age range for FITNET? Usually a parent is consulted to enable consent to be given - however as we move to a more " online" treatment scenario, in particular for psychological input, a parent may have no input. Seems to me that a way is being prepared...

Re the last tweet. Is the clinical trials book the one that clearly identifies difficulties re bias and blinding that simply seems to have been disregarded when designing the trial? Simply alluding to this would seem to infer that there were no methodological flaws. ..

    Question concerning XMRV

Thanks @Jonathan Edwards . Our GP just shrugged their shoulders and did not think it worth any further investigation . It has always seemed unusual. We have a number of dots that havn' t been joined, and i think that may not be uncommon for ME: it is the sum of insults, in our case with...

Statins share the same issues with raw data and data manipulation that we are all painfully familiar with. I' m not sure anyone could confidently make claims as to their efficacy. http://bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/2018/01/16/bjsports-2017-098497

Eosinophilic colitis caused by neuropathic agents in a patient with CFS (2018) Fragkos et al.

I have read the document, so apologies if this is covered. The impact of losing employment is perhaps more complex. Health may be impacted when the closure and redundancy is associated with a major employer and there is little opportunity for other employment - such was the case in the 1980s...
