Thanks for that, @Sly Saint. Is Tuller doing anything in Brisbane itself?

David Tuller's new crowdfunding campaign (April 1, 2018)

In fairness, David T did give us a heads up some weeks back. But agree that a longer formal donation period would be good for the more funds challenged.

Merryn Crofts - media and inquest

I encourage Henrik Vogt to go right on letting the world know of his views on these matters, in as public and undeniable a manner as possible. I can think of no better way for him to ultimately and decisively destroy his own credibility and reputation. There are few people I can find less...

ME Research UK acceptance of Fukuda/CDC definition being used in their funded research

Selection criteria are, and will remain for some time yet, a treacherous minefield. Including the problem that in the hands of different researchers the same criteria will not necessarily produce strictly comparable patient cohorts. The Oxford criteria had to go, and I want PEM as a compulsory...

    PACE trial data

The LTFU results are the only outcomes of real consequence in clinical trials, especially for chronic illnesses. The LTFU for primary outcomes is null, however desperately PACE tried to spin it. If the LTFU for employment is also null (which I expect it to be), then the psycho-behavioural...

    I've gone nocturnal again :(

I often get moderate SAD when it rains for more than a few days straight, and hides the sun. Soon as the sun comes back out, I start feeling a lot better. Runs in the family, at least two first-degree relatives have the same response.

    I've gone nocturnal again :(

I have not tried it for a while, so it will be interesting to see if it still works.

Rethinking the treatment of CFS — a reanalysis and evaluation of findings from a recent major trial of GET and CBT (2018) Wilshire et al.

The UK and Oz versions do have different editors and versions, but yeah they can be a bit naive.

Rethinking the treatment of CFS — a reanalysis and evaluation of findings from a recent major trial of GET and CBT (2018) Wilshire et al.

Sometimes it really is a conspiracy, in some form or other (and they take many forms). Really disappointed in The Guardian. Their handling of this issue flies in the face of the way they tend to approach most other issues. For example, the Australian version has an economics writer (Greg...

Balance deficits in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with and without Fibromyalgia (2018) Natelson et al

A distinct deterioration in my balance was one of the very first symptoms I noticed, within hours of onset.

    I've gone nocturnal again :(

If I let my body clock do its thing, my circadian cycle stretches out to about 24.5 hours, so I will slowly cycle around the clock over a month or so. Best way I have found so far to try keeping synced with 24 hours seems to be having the bedroom window curtains wide open and my bed placed so...

PACE trial TSC and TMG minutes released

An instrument deliberately designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, weighing less than 50g (1.75oz), is claimed to be too much of a burden. Just to put that in perspective, my short sleeved summer shirt comes in at 272g (9.5oz), more than 5 times the weight of the actometer. Too much of a...

PACE trial TSC and TMG minutes released

Don't recall anything in the protocol at all about actigraphy. They had decided very early on to dump it as an outcome measure, possibly after early behind-the-scenes knowledge of the actigraphy results from the 3 studies eventually collated and reported by Wiborg.
