I wish he had the courage to say this to to the media when asked for comment instead of the usual weasel worded bollocks. But then they might be openly challenged on their...
That's an interesting thought.
Conversely, there seems to be a lot of overlap between ME and Fibro. Maybe the people who have this chronic pain gene
/have large amounts of pain with their ME symptoms - have fibro+ME.
A question - what experiments do these data and the Zhang study, Fluge and Mella's recent paper etc suggest might be worthwhile that could run in parallel with SequenceME? Be it lab work or theraputic experiments or biopsies or autopsy studies. Anything that would be worthwhile that doesn't need...

I'm sure this is a (justified) oversimplification, so what is the more complex story?
Oh this is interesting. So you think the DecodeME results might have put paid to your hypothesis? Would we have definitely seen genes related to IFNG if it was involved, for example?
Are T cells 'safe' from this thought exercise or would they have been likely to have had genetic 'hits' as well...
Interesting and perhaps frustrating that he is still hot on antiviral therapies. I'd love to be proved wrong but I just think if that was the answer we would probably know by now.
