It’s so obvious - blaming the patient for not being well and not wanting to get better fits nicely with capitalism. The only way to get attention is to show that money is being wasted and there is economic inactivity. The BPS “fix” of thinking yourself better is a waste of money. Nobody cares...

I’m not yet sure whether I think she’s being exploited or she is doing the exploiting. If the 10 treasures are so great that she wants people to know about them in case it helps someone, then she could just tweet them for free, rather than put them in a pricey book. Couldn’t she?

Not sure if it helps, but it makes me pity her she has only just realised this at her big age.

I worry that she’s brain trained herself a bit better (I’m being glib, you know what I mean) and she’s launched into the work which goes with promoting a book, doing media and she’s probably knackered. She’s also had a bit of a backlash which won’t help her mood. I don’t doubt she’s finding...

Interesting - I slowly tapered off day drinking as it made me incredibly drunk and insensible when I was mild, plus I’d get a hangover by tea time and need to go to bed early.

She was always going to pop up on Strictly if Sarah stayed in, because Sarah is mostly recognised from Miranda’s show. And Strictly isn’t for me but it is easily one of the most-watched tv shows in the UK.

We need another poll! I do now estimate my total time spent recumbent vs Sitting & standing, it’s on average 4 hours upright and the other 20 horizontal. And I’m only moderate.

If we were able to exercise without deteriorating or harm, we’d know because there would be people with MECFS in the paralympics, running the London Marathon etc. Because if you can increase your exercise you would increase back to your previous levels. Even I could do a 10k and was considering...

It would be interesting to see how it’s described in other countries/cultures. In life I’ve been “poisoned” by alcohol (over consumption and “dodgy” holiday drinks decanted into name brand bottles known as “petrol”) and there was once a dodgy carbon dioxide leak which made us all sleepy one...

What is interesting is that the MEA survey asked the specific question “I feel like I’ve been poisoned” it must be something that’s said frequently for them to design the survey to ask it.

Well they do it because it’s overpowering and likely to cause illness…it’s nature, not nurture
