I cannot save the first two of those Google drive files to my desktop (as a PDF), they are only readable online, but the third one (the position statement) can be saved. Anybody know why? The first one in particular is a useful resource.

Maybe we need to get a patient produced and run monitoring system in place, looking at both compliance with NICE and harms reporting, that is completely independent of any official system.

And how is this approach in any way different from BACME's pre-NICE version? Is there no means at all to bring an end to this relentless assault on our lives by the psycho-behavioural cult? How in God's name do these people keep being allowed to so easily hijack and pervert every gain we make...

I too remain unconvinced. My experiences with both hot and cold weather don't provide any evidence that temperature extremes help in any way. If I was to study any weather based variables it would be humidity.

Evidence and logic, no matter how valid and compelling, are clearly not even close to being enough.

I learned nothing from reading that, beyond that it was a waste of time to read it.

Is there a psychological vaccine against untruths? If there is then the psych profession itself has yet to take it themselves. I think there is one, and it is called robust methodology.

The only possible conclusion being that they simply don't care. Endless token gestures and empty words not withstanding.

Can't get a result by following robust methodological standards, so demand they be allowed an exemption from those standards. What could possibly go wrong? Besides everything.

And all the blame when it doesn't work out. It is about as nasty and dangerous a double bind as is possible to inflict on a human. They have left no possible response for patients that is both valid and safe. I still can't believe they are getting away with such an obviously false and cruel...
