These results, however, underscore the importance of including neurophysiological endpoints in intervention research and highlight the need for developing more robust and individualized stimulation protocols. Future studies should consider extended stimulation regimens, alternative task...

Exactly. How do they now it is (unjustified) stigma/fear of psychiatric diagnoses and therapies that is the problem, as opposed to those diagnoses and therapies being false, and useless, and sometimes a lot worse than merely useless, and hence the stigma and fear of them being entirely...

Physical activity levels in ME/chronic fatigue syndrome before and after a 2-day cardiopulmonary exercise test protocol, 2026, Receno

Built Me/Cfs safe room in the bush at the back of a house. Design help/suggestions.

IIRC, it depends on when the container was made, as the toxic paints stopped being used a few years back. However, if it has a wood floor, then it may well be treated with strong persistent insecticides.

Physical activity levels in ME/chronic fatigue syndrome before and after a 2-day cardiopulmonary exercise test protocol, 2026, Receno

Apart from anything else, it shows considerable contempt for our hard earned experiential understanding of it, which is why they have to include a component in their definition that says we have perceptual pathology. They think that we are just ignorant delusional idiots. It is a maddening and...

The Stigma of self-report in health research: Time to reconsider what counts as “Objective”, 2026, Alwan

The issue is, of course, not the importance of subjective data. It has its place. The issue has always been: is it adequately controlled to reveal the known problems with subjective self-report data so they can be factored into the analysis? If it has been then it is useful data. If it has not...

The New Yorker: Did a Celebrated Researcher Obscure a Baby’s Poisoning?

How many times can Horton be so wrong, behave so contrary to scientific and ethical principles, in such a blatant hypocritical manner, with such appalling consequences, and yet face zero accountability for it, and still remain so influential and honoured? And he ain't alone. Something sure is...

Physical activity levels in ME/chronic fatigue syndrome before and after a 2-day cardiopulmonary exercise test protocol, 2026, Receno

I am increasingly of the view that humans are rarely if ever sedentary (on a prolonged basis) for no good reason, and the real reasons for being sedentary rarely if ever include psycho-drama morality-play nonsense. That characterisation is just the superficial narrative mythologies we spin to...
