I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called "Relapsing Polychondritis"

I've been a vegetarian for 25 years but I remember cooking it with bacon and lots of onions and everyone liked it. I recall that it should not be eaten more than once or twice a week because of its high vitamin A content.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Myalgic Encephalitis: It's Mitochondria, Not Hypochondria - by Sarah Myhill

And don't forget that all of us, sick and well alike, must have as a bare minimum so that we can all live to our full potential, the Basic Package. This absolutely "essential part of life" starter kit consists of Multi-vitamin - one daily; Multi-mineral Mix - 2-3 grams daily; Hemp oil - one...

Article: DNA gets away: Scientists catch the rogue molecule that can trigger autoimmunity

https://www.theage.com.au/national/scientists-film-real-time-footage-inside-a-human-cell-20180222-p4z1bg.html. A similar article but, as a non-scientist, I found it more coherent. Professor Kile describes how this discovery could possibly lead to treatments. "It is thought some of this ejected...

Nasobiotex L. Sakei Probiotic Powder for sinus microbiome - anyone tried it?

I read the links and for about three weeks I replaced the moderate and high salicylate foods I had been eating quite a lot of daily with alternatives: decaf instead of the real thing, no mint tea or tictacs, vodka instead of Bacardi (no hardship there:)), no vegemite , etc. etc. A few days...

Psychological Stress and Mitochondria: A Systematic Review Picard, Martin PhD; McEwen, Bruce S. PhD

PMS - another acronym to add to the growing list to struggle with:rolleyes:. PsychoMitoSomo - in a sing-song style. Yes, that's how I'll remember it  I can't claim to have read the whole thing, or understood some of what I did read, but the paragraphs describing the inherent...

Positive and negative affect mediate the ... relationship between emotional processing and symptom severity ... in IBS, 2018, Moss-Morris et al.

I'm not sure of the protocols here but I didn't want to start a new thread with this because it's just more of the same faulty thinking approach - and it might have already been posted, although I can't see it anywhere. It is a report from the World Congress of Gastroenterology, October 2017...

Cognitive behavioural therapy for MS-related fatigue explained: A longitudinal mediation analysis, 2018, van den Akker et al

Yes, I have a friend who needs to talk everything through - at length! - in order to sort her thoughts out. It suits her personality. Being intensely private and introverted, I have never found that talking to a stranger about private things makes me feel any better - just extremely...

Cognitive behavioural therapy for MS-related fatigue explained: A longitudinal mediation analysis, 2018, van den Akker et al

I'm not sure I can express this the way I want to. The reason for CBT is apparently to learn to manage your life etc. better. This automatically presumes that you aren't already doing that, and that really gets up my nose. It's the same as telling parents how to better manage difficult children...

Nasobiotex L. Sakei Probiotic Powder for sinus microbiome - anyone tried it?

I've had a dry feeling high up in my nose for years, sometimes to the point of stinging pain. At the same time there was what I assume was a reaction to the irritation: a runny nose that didn't help the dryness. I just blamed it on possible sjogren's syndrome. Saline spray worked better than...

Right Arcuate Fasciculus Abnormality in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, 2014, Zeineh, Montoya et al

Many thanks. I read the full text and it made a big difference to my understanding when Jose Montoya referred to it in his talk today. I was really pleased to hear that research in this area is being continued.

Autoimmunity may underlie newly discovered painful nerve-damage disorder

I read about the immunoglobulin study in the middle of last night as I sat with my feet in a bucket of cold water for relief from burning pain. Then, coincidentally, I found this thread shortly after. What a great website this is!! For years I've been told I probably have ME/CFS/FM - by the...
