Investigating the effectiveness ... of FITNET-NHS compared to Activity Management to treat paediatric CFS/ME, 2018, Crawley et al. Protocol

If they drop it they can no longer, however wrongfully, claim that they are making patients better. Just that they are helping them cope, and you don't need to research that, cause that sort of CBT is already a thing. Also people coping just fine on their own wouldn't need their help offcourse.

Tonight on Dutch TV - ME / CFS documentary

Maybe you are right. I saw some more reviews and a lot of people where a lot happier about it then I was. Maybe I was expecting too much based on the radio-interview which was very very good from all involved. Hopefully this Kortschot fella stays on top of things and does more pieces in the future.

Tonight on Dutch TV - ME / CFS documentary

The crapness of the CBT-studies wasn't more than a footnote after Bleijenberg and v.d. Meer had a chance to spread their bullshit. I was continuously waiting for them to be hit over the head with the facts, but when it came it was short and blurry. Compared to the radio-interview this was crap...

Dutch ME / POTS specialist under attack

Just comes to show the situation here isn't any better than in Britain though. Thank you Bleijenberg, v.d. Meer and others for making our lives harder.

Trial By Error: Letter to British Journal of Sports Medicine from CPET Experts

Can tell you from experience that anaerobic exercise can be as exhausting or even more exhausting than aerobic. I've been to the gym till about 3/4 years, maybe even more after I got sick. But the sense of depletion I felt after finishing a work-out.... I don't recommend it to anyone. Offcourse...

Article: Nature, "Robust research needs many lines of evidence", Marcus R. Munafò and George Davey Smith

Yeah, i'm done with these sorts of people. They say things because they make them sound and look good, while on the other hand making a complete mockery of the scientific process by their actual actions.

Guidance for commissioners of services for people with medically unexplained symptoms - 2017

The people at Het Roessingh where I went to were friendly, untill one of the patients started opposing the treatment because it made her go bad quickly as opposed to lucky me where it took some time. The gloves soon came off and she was painted as someone that didn't want to get better trying to...

Henrick Vogt: "intense negativity spread by individuals/CFS groups/researchers" partly to blame for family's suicide

My English fell a bit short I think. He's treating us with contempt and without empathy.

Henrick Vogt: "intense negativity spread by individuals/CFS groups/researchers" partly to blame for family's suicide

The only thing he'll succeed at doing is shining a bigger light on it. Especially when he goes in like this with contempt for the patientgroup he's supposed to be treating. *edit* removed the word no before contempt. Thank you @Barry

Dr Jose Montoya, Live Webcast from Stanford, Jan 18th 7PM PST

I wonder if he knows about filgotinib then, by the looks of it a way more accurate jak-inhibitor. The gist I get from this theory is that changes in intestinal microbiota cause inflammation, which causes an exaggerated immune response, which keeps the intestinal microbiota screwy. A...

Better than having it the other way around, trying to increase the amount of good bacteria through a round of CBT.
