Identifying and renaming inaccurate, inappropriate or minimising words, phrases, etc. in ME/CFS

Clarification on my comment; To me PEM has always been ‘ a worsening of symptoms’ that sometimes has a delayed effect. So direct and delayed effect. Now it seems we are redefining PEM as only or mostly delayed PEM. So what are the direct effects after stimuli and exertion? To me it is...

But if we find better words, we are able to put them forward in advocacy. Now we don’t have the right words.

UK: Disability benefits (UC, ESA and PIP) - news and updates 2024 and 2025

I just don’t get it, the way this government speaks about the disabled and announces cut after cut for the disabled. The way they speak you would think people are unwilling to work. When in fact a lot of disabled are working or would want to work, but can’t. This coupled with the unwillingness...

The way in which Garner finds the media every time makes me think there is some kind of publicist behind it. It almost seems like a campaign.

Addressing The Diagnostic Void Faced By Patients With Deteriorative Symptoms

The void exists for a reason imho; to keep the BPS train going. Because how can you rehabilitate patients that not only cannot exercise (because bedbound) but are also (almost) unable to communicate. So exclude the severe, even the moderate and only treat the mild and include people who do not...

What Mistakes are Being Made in ME Research?

They should locate all the people that could NOT comply with the GET and CBT and were not counted in the results of these studies, and research them.
