I’ve only had two GPs in the last 15 years and I’ve got along really well with both of them. I think of my current GP as a friend, and I’m pretty sure she would say the same about me.
Clearly I’m very special and the rest of you are absolutely horrible people.
This. People here and on other forums get improvements after years through all manner of things, or through nothing discernible. If I'd been paying someone £24 a month for a number of years, I'd likely attribute any improvements to their programme, too.
And the £24 is just for access to...
I hadn't heard of the Chrysalis Effect before. Looking at the website, it's very reminiscent of the LP, even down to the 'independent practitioner' structure, which relieves the organisation of any real accountability. Total BS throughout, and implied claims of understanding the causes of...
Yep, see https://johnthejack.com/2016/10/17/sense-about-science-the-pace-trial-and-me/
Sense about Science UK grew out of the ex-Living Marxism lot with a nice track record of climate change 'skepticism' and strong, sometimes familial, links to the SMC, Institute of Ideas, Frank Furedi etc etc...
Yikes, someone should tell her it isn't the promised land. In fairness, for someone in a country with zero acknowledgement of ME, looking at the OHI's website might feel like it's exactly that.
That website is odd. The guy running it wants to help you "become the alpha in your life that you are...
Yes, we're lucky everyone in the field has too much integrity for that.
This is kind of intriguing, though, isn't it. As others have said, it would be interesting to know if this happens regardless of why the person is in the HBOT. It doesn't seem too farfetched that being locked in a steel box...
Oh, yes. I'm in the midst of a highly illuminating experience here, involving one of our major UK utilities. After fully 6 months of going round and round in the circle of hell of their "Customer Service" department, costing me a huge amount of time and frustration, someone on Reddit the other...
So people end up on welfare because they're slovenly and disagreeable? Wow.
There was that old music hall song:
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Ain't it all a bloomin' shame?
Quite
"Adam Perkins is a Lecturer in the Neurobiology of Personality at Kings College"
I pity his students. Although presumably if they miss a lecture they can just watch an hour of Fox News to make up for it
One thing I don't think the article mentions is that the gluten content of wheat, in particular, has been greatly increased over the last 50 years or so by selective breeding and genetic modification. This makes life much easier for industrial bakers but may come at a cost.
The Wiki page on...
thanks :-) I would tweet it, but as my Twitter account has one follower (an economist — I don't know how that happened) it would be like printing it out and hiding it under a rock.
From the Annals of Psychological Medicine:
I must write of a most compelling case, brought to my doorstep by my good friend Arbuthnot just this month past. The patient presented with a strange lassitude, malaise and some manner of fever. A thorough investigation with sphygmomanometer and...
Crude stuff. What we need is Artificial Intelligence, not robots.
i.e. the people programming the robot have already decided what’s desirable and how the task should be performed.
'perceived as'. The whole value of where we're going with technology now is that is IS non-judgmental, not that...
