    Skin crawling/formication

I go wonder if this is a hormonal symptom that may indicate issues with liver? Synthesis and bio transformation of many steroid hormones is part of liver' s job, and the liver ( I read somewhere) does a lot of housekeeping at night when we are supposed to be asleep. There seems to be an issue...

MEA Website Survey: Physiotherapy and ME | 02 July 2019

Yes they are trained in massage, but this tends to be either for conditions that have a noted benefit ( not really part of the ME playbook) , or from a private physio. A few physios here work part time in NHS and have private businesses . Massage was beneficial for my daughter but took too...

Mad Cow Disease: The Great British Beef Scandal

The problem with pesticides is that the acceptable levels are based on individual pesticides. For example potatoes locally can be sprayed with different chemicals up to 32...

    Weighted blankets

Bamboo is good for moisture control. My daughter's s memory foam neck pillow has a bamboo casing which seems to help. Wool is also great at " wicking". But perhaps given weight issues, better for winter.

Very much so. My daughter had cbt via CAHMS for anxiety. The second session was a fishing trip for early childhood trauma which she found very upsetting. The therapist simply could not accept what she was telling them .CBT was a disaster and left her no better for it and thinking she had "...

BMJ Archives of Diseases in Childhood: ''Editor’s note on correction to Crawley et al. (2018)'', 2019, Nick Brown. (SMILE LP Trial)

For a population group who are supposed to benefit from higher levels of protection, when it comes to paediatrics, careers seem to trump the health and wellbeing of children. Has there been a precedent in English law along the lines of Montgomery v South Lanarkshire Council? In light of...

JAMA -"Advances in understanding the Pathophysiology of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" by Anthony Komaroff

Don't t despair. Although I feel that there are many routes to the same end state, there will be common pathways which may help define subsets. I think we are beginning to scratch the surface as the technology now exists and is evolving to enable scientists to dig a bit deeper. If we can...
