I'm sure I once heard them recommend 2 glasses at one point. Being an addictive type personality due to emotional instability at times, one drink a day would most likely have turned into a drinking problem for me.
Would this sort of thing cause veins/capillaries in the hands to burst? At my very severe ME onset I was getting that bee sting type pain in my hands and would look at hands and see a burst blood capillary/vein under the skin. It happened often. I rarely get it now.
Thanks @Sarah94 @OverTheHills @TigerLilea @Nellie @JemPD and everyone who acknowledged. x
I went to see mum this morning at the hospital. Very nerve wracking travelling with covid outbreak. But travelled in the bus with only one other passenger so that was good. Mum is slowly improving but will...
Been so sick the last two weeks. Worst cold I have had in many years. Now my mum is very sick and I had to call an ambulance for her this morning. I can't even visit her due to level 4 lockdown. We have a big covid outbreak. Mum will get tested at hospital for covid. I wasn't able to go and get...
I'm not able have my second dose Pfizer this week. Sinuses playing up, sore throat and feel like I could get a chest infection. So have rebooked for the 27th August.
I noticed a vaccination centre opened up in my neighbourhood last week so I was able to make my new appointment there.
Good to...
I don't know whether I have understood this correctly from what I read in the news this morning. Is it true that by widening the time from three weeks to six weeks between dose 1 and 2 of Pfizer you get a higher antibody and better protection?
Our government is changing the time between Pfizer...
Day 3: after first vaccine. Sleeping really well at night. Haven't woken up with any headaches. Just noticing that I feel sleepy during the day but I guess that will soon pass. Still trying to up water intake. Sore arm on the second day but not sore now.
I'm taking a few weeks break from the...
@Invisible Woman I agree with you. I experience the same but with the exception of the left, right example - possibly because I was a marcher, I had it drummed into me as a child and I think I probably work on auto pilot when it comes to working out the left, right situation.
My cognitive...
Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I want to come back to this thread but need to take a few weeks break from the forum shortly. Thanks again. :trophy@
@Invisible Woman For the left and right example, possibly a slower response in my severer years due to not only the cognitive side but the physically painful head I experienced in those years. Moderate not a problem. So if were to take that test I think I would pass it if not in severe PEM or...
I joined marching as a child and you had to know your left from right. So the reverse example isn't a problem either for me. It's funny when catching a cab home, when I say right to the driver they often are confused and I have to point it out because they can't figure it out quick enough.
I think the water helped a lot yesterday @Mij
About 2 hours after the vaccine a headache developed and nausea. I also felt quite sleepy and wanted to keep closing my eyes.
I eventually took some Panadol and put a ice pack on my forehead for a while. Temperature taken and was normal. I still...
Home again after having the 1st dose of Pfizer vaccine. All went well and I had a great nurse. I told her I had ME and I think that might have been why I had to stay longer in the waiting room. I noticed the people who had been in line after me were allowed to leave earlier than me. I had to...
The day has arrived for my first dose Pfizer. Not feeling in as good a shape as I would have liked to be.
Appointment is at 1.30pm, it's nearly 9am. I'll go early and have some lunch in town - hopefully I don't bump into any unknown Covid outbreak anywhere, lots of MIQ's (managed isolation...
@Snow Leopard I wonder the impact on the ME for men when their testosterone levels drop as they get older. I don't know how old you are. Do men feel a greater depth of immune-induced like weakness in ME or notice any other change.
Is this more likely due to an immune system problem?
For me there came a point where after many years with very severe ME where resting finally helped to move me down a level.
I am now over 25 years into ME and would describe myself as moderate with the very odd severe bout. I have a resting...
