I’m hoping to not be alive long enough to get those sorts of things... unless a cure pops up, then i may have a problem.
Its been an absolute life saver for me. I doubt i’d be here without it
My sleep has been quite good for the last few years thanks to doxylamine succinate. I manage an almost stable 2-3am to 9.30am.
Unless i’m awake for 3 days straight with migraine.
I’ve also managed to cut right down on napping through the day which is great until this past month where i’ve...
Well that sent a chill down my spine, possibly because i don’t have enough energy for fear or anger.
When i read it i thought i was reading some old guidelines but the link on their website took me to this too. So this ‘is’ the current guidelines??
And Allistair Miller is now retired from ME...
I do have all the proof i need that i’m disabled that i can carry on me, just depends on the copper who pulls me at the time and what mood they’re in.
We have a lot of off road cycle paths here and a few parks to cut through. I’m usually out very late at night if i do get out and we don’t have...
You’re so lucky @andypants they were talking about changing the law here in early 2019 due to people petitioning but it’ll probably not happen.
If a person is caught, they can be summoned, lose the scooter, have 6 points taken off their licence (or future licence if they’re a child) and a...
My main indicator is putting on make-up. I’m a make-up wearer and if i’m too ill to sit upright and put it on then i’m too ill to go out. Sometimes i’ll get my make-up on and then crash which really annoys me as i’ve then done it for nothing.
@andypants i’ve just bought a little folding...
Just seen this, i think my ears are the only part of my body i’ve never had any trouble with.
Quite literally the only issue i’ve ever had is a piercing not healing and thats a systemic problem not just ear related.
I got my daith pierced on right side a year and a half ago, to see if it would...
This is the same for me also. That for me is a very difficult test. I very rarely get a decent result even for the first one, but i usually feel that i’m trying harder on 2nd or 3rd go even though results show the opposite.
Thank you @hellytheelephant mine really doesn’t count lol, i wrote it in the bath on my phone at midnight; literally wrote, copied and pasted.
I’ve been thinking of doing one to submit but it’ll probably not happen
My apologies for the shoddiness and no editing, here’s a ‘non hope’ poem written in last 10 mins. You were warned lol.
I used to have hope, a long time ago,
It comforted pain, and bandaged my sorrow,
But as months turned to years, hope came at a cost,
I clung to the future and the present...
I totally agree. Poetry is a fantastic medium for describing in great detail the raw, socially unacceptable details of hidden suffering.
You can get away with sharing the sheer ugliness of reality when its contained within a poem and twisted into art.
I couldn’t even force myself to write a...
That’s me screwed, i have no hopeful poetry, only poetry that was written at 4am after days of no sleep, lying in vomit and urine, describing the exquisite torture of solitude, agony and torment.
It would definitely raise awareness! Just not the type they’re looking for ;)
A few years ago i was talking to someone who was convinced my ME was the cause of mercury in fillings and proceeded to talk at me about this for 10 minutes.
She forgot to ask if i even had any. I’d never had a single filling in my life
